CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various maintenance activities are scheduled in Chester County, starting Monday, June 24.
From Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27, a right lane will be closed on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Norwood Road on-ramp and the Route 113 Interchange in Downingtown Borough. The closure, which runs from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, is for tree and brush clearing.
Additionally, Route 82 (Creek Road) will be closed for pipe replacement on Tuesday, June 25, and Wednesday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The work will take place between Old Kennett Road in Kennett Township, Chester County, and Snuff Mill Road in New Castle County, Delaware. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Snuff Mill Road and Old Kennett Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Motorists should plan for delays and allow extra time when traveling near these areas. Traffic backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities depend on weather conditions.
