Line Striping & Pavement Markings Project Coming to Chester County Highways

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that line striping with moving lane closures is scheduled on several state highways in Chester County on Sunday, July 23, through Friday, July 28, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, as part of a project to install pavement markings.

The work locations are:

  • U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass/Exton Bypass) between the Route 10 and the U.S. 202 interchanges in Sadsbury, West Caln, Valley, Caln, East Caln, and West Whiteland townships, City of Coatesville, and Downingtown Borough;
  • Route 100 between the U.S. 30 and the U.S. 202 interchanges in West Whiteland and West Goshen townships; and
  • U.S. 202 between the U.S. 30 (Exton Bypass) and the U.S. 422 interchanges in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
