WEST GOSHEN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced lane restrictions on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Chester County as part of a safety improvement project.
From Monday, August 18, through Friday, August 22, a lane closure in both directions will be in effect between Paoli Pike and Strasburg Road daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM while crews perform high-friction resurfacing.
The work is part of a broader project to enhance safety and travel along the Route 3 corridor, including West Chester Pike, East Gay Street, and Market Street. Highway Materials, Inc., based in Flourtown, is serving as the general contractor. The project is being funded entirely through federal dollars.
PennDOT is advising motorists to expect backups and delays when traveling through the work zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
