LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) upgrades scheduled for U.S. 422 in Montgomery and Chester counties. The work, aimed at enhancing traffic management on the heavily traveled corridor, will involve lane closures over multiple sections beginning Monday, April 21.
From April 21 through April 25, periodic lane closures will occur during the following times and locations:
- Eastbound U.S. 422 between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) will see closures from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships.
- Westbound U.S. 422 along the same stretch will experience closures from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- Eastbound U.S. 422 between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Keim Street in North Coventry Township, Chester County, will undergo closures from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Westbound U.S. 422 in the North Coventry area will face closures from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to anticipate backups and delays throughout the work areas and should allow for additional travel time. All work schedules remain weather-dependent.
