Daytime Work to Narrow U.S. 422 Lanes in Montco, Chesco

MONTGOMERY & CHESTER COUNTIES, PA — Daytime lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 422 as PennDOT advances roadway reconstruction in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships.

Westbound U.S. 422 will be reduced to a single lane between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Eastbound lanes will be restricted between Hanover Street and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

No detour is planned, but motorists should expect congestion and slower travel through the work zones. Plan extra time and consider alternate routes, especially during peak daytime hours.

The work is part of an $83.6 million project to reconstruct sections of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
