CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations will take place in Chester County next week, leading to evening and overnight lane closures.

From Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, motorists can expect lane closures on several key roads:

  • Wagontown Road between Manor Road and the West Caln Township line in Valley Township from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for paving.
  • Caln Road/Reeceville Road between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Fisherville Road in Caln Township from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for milling and paving.
  • Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for base repair, milling, and paving.
  • Creek Road between Lewis Mill Road and Route 82 (Manor Road) in West Nantmeal Township from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for base repair and paving.
  • Route 10 (Octorara Trail/Compass Road) between U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Beaver Dam Road in West Sadsbury, Sadsbury, West Caln, and Honey Brook townships from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for base repair and paving.

Drivers should allow extra time when traveling through these areas as slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These resurfacing projects involve repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt, which will seal the roadways and provide a safer, smoother surface for motorists.
