CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers in Warwick and East Nantmeal townships should prepare for daytime detours and possible delays next week as PennDOT closes multiple state roads for pipe replacement work.

PennDOT said Morningside Drive, Reading Furnace Road, and Mansion Road will close between Route 23 (Ridge Road) and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3, between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured using Route 23 (Ridge Road), Route 345 (Bulltown Road), and Route 401 (Conestoga Road).
Additional closures are scheduled later in the week on Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) in Warwick Township.
PennDOT said Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) will close between Warwick Road and Harmonyville Road on Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM for continued pipe replacement operations.
Drivers traveling through the area will be directed to use Warwick Road, Route 23 (Ridge Road), Saint Peters Road, and Harmonyville Road during the closure.
Local access to homes and properties will remain available throughout construction, according to PennDOT.
Motorists should expect backups and slower travel near the work zones and along detour routes, particularly during daytime hours. Plan extra time and seek alternate routes where possible.
