SADSBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Amtrak will be performing rail improvements on Oak Street in Sadsbury Township, Chester County, beginning Tuesday, August 15.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, August 15, through Saturday, September 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Oak Street will be closed weekdays, and weekends if needed, between Spruce Street and Greenbelt Drive. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Old Wilmington Road, U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Strode Avenue, and Route 372 (Valley Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
