POTTSTOWN, PA — Chester County’s State Representative Paul Friel (D-Chester) has announced plans for a town hall meeting, offering constituents an opportunity to hear updates on legislative matters and learn about the services provided by his office. The meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 29, will also provide residents with a chance to voice their questions and concerns.

Friel, who represents Pennsylvania’s 26th Legislative District, has made it clear that he wants to hear from his constituents ahead of time. He is encouraging residents to submit their questions via e-mail to RepFriel@pahouse.net, with the subject line “Town Hall Question.” This move aims to open communication and transparency, as well as aims to highlight his eagerness to address the concerns of his constituents.

The town hall meeting will take place at Owen J. Roberts High School’s LGI Room, located at 981 Ridge Road, Pottstown, PA 19465. The meeting will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., providing ample time for discussion and interaction.

Friel, a business owner and advocate, has been serving Northern Chester County since he assumed office in 2023. His work in the legislature includes advocating for funding for local projects and proposing amendments to state statutes relating to firearms and other dangerous articles.

Town hall meetings are a critical component of representative democracy, providing elected officials with a firsthand understanding of their constituents’ concerns and perspectives. They also allow constituents to stay informed about legislative developments and the activities of their representatives.

This particular town hall comes at a time when many residents are eager to discuss a variety of issues, from local infrastructure projects to state-level legislative changes. It provides an excellent opportunity for residents to engage directly with their representative and voice their thoughts and concerns.
