Registration Opens for 2024 Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference to Be Held April 6th

WEST CHESTER, PA — Benchmark Federal Credit Union is proud to announce details for the 2024 Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference,, which is free to all single moms and includes free childcare and lunch. This is Benchmark FCU’s tenth year as the title sponsor of the event.

The Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference is organized by the Chester County Community Collaborative and will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. This year’s event will be hosted by the Oscar Lasko YMCA and Childcare Center, 1 E. Chestnut Street, in downtown West Chester.

“The theme of the 2024 Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference is ‘Gold Medal Moms’,” said Conference Co-Chairs Guillermina Rios and Shavon Phipps. “In 2024, a Summer Olympics year, we see single moms facing challenges not unlike the physical, mental and financial ones faced by Olympic athletes. However, single mothers do not always have the support systems and resources they need to succeed. This conference provides some of that through workshops, connections and rewards.”

Rios, Phipps and the Chester County Community Collaborative are planning programming to help single moms endure their personal marathons. Rebecca Worthington, Benchmark Federal Credit Union’s Vice President of Community Relations, describes Benchmark FCU’s critical role in this event.

“We have been honored to help ensure that this event is free to all single moms for a decade,” said Worthington. “Benchmark FCU also provides conference attendees with multiple Financial Literacy Workshops, confidential reviews of credit reports, and conference materials that help moms make the most out of the day.”

Benchmark FCU will be among those on hand to help present a variety of 2024 Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference features, including the prestigious Belinda Harrison Award honoring a working single mom who has overcome adversity and is active in her community.
