PHOENIXVILLE, PA — PressurePerfect Massage in Phoenixville is celebrating Elaine Miller as their Unsung Hero for April, recognizing her over 700 hours of volunteer work with Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS), where she also serves on the board. To honor her dedication, the center has launched a month-long community food drive to support PACS during a time of growing demand.
PACS, a vital resource in the area, has seen an 83% rise in food requests over the past year, serving 12,000 market visits annually and providing monthly groceries to over 310 families. Through May 15, community members can donate essential items like canned proteins, pasta, rice, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. Contributions can be dropped off at Gateway Pharmacy Wellness Center, located at 165 Nutt Road, during regular business hours.
Mark Liskey, co-owner of PressurePerfect Massage, highlighted the importance of PACS as a vital safety net for the community. He explained that the food drive serves as an opportunity to bring people together in support of their neighbors, inspired by Elaine’s heartfelt and selfless generosity.
PressurePerfect Massage also encourages nominations for their ongoing Unsung Hero initiative, rewarding one inspiring individual each month with a complimentary massage as a token of gratitude.
This effort not only highlights Elaine Miller’s selfless contributions but also proves the power of community when it comes together to address critical needs. Residents are encouraged to join the drive and be part of this movement of compassion.
