DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Nearly 200 runners and walkers came together at Eagleview Town Center on Saturday, March 7, helping Communities That Care of Greater Downingtown raise more than $29,000 during its 5th annual Snowball Shuffle.

The community-focused 5K brought participants out for a morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy, with families, students, and local residents gathering to support programs that benefit youth and families across the Downingtown area. The atmosphere throughout the event was energetic and festive, with participants enjoying fire pits, a S’mores station, a deluxe hot chocolate bar, and a variety of sponsor-provided activities after crossing the finish line.

Each participant received a Snowball Shuffle moisture-wicking long-sleeve shirt along with sponsor giveaways. Post-race activities included a S’mores station sponsored by West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., a deluxe hot chocolate bar sponsored by Citadel Credit Union, and a refuel table sponsored by ACAC.

This year’s 5K was officially timed by Run The Day, with medals awarded to the best overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers in each age group. Jacob Czubaroff claimed the top male finish with a time of 20:58, while Brynnley Jefferis finished as the top female runner with a time of 23:54.

Carmen Glenn, executive director of Communities That Care of Greater Downingtown, thanked participants and supporters for helping make the milestone fifth year a success.

“Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our 5th annual Snowball Shuffle,” Glenn said. “Your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to strengthening our community made the event a wonderful success. Whether you walked, ran, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines, you helped bring people together for a great cause. We are grateful for our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who made the day possible. Because of you, Communities That Care of Greater Downingtown can continue working to support and empower our local youth and families.”
