Wilmington Police Arrest Man on Gun Charge

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a 29-year-old man following an encounter with the department’s Safe Streets Task Force earlier this week.

According to authorities, on October 7 at approximately 2:26 p.m., task force members were patrolling the 1900 block of North Market Street when they observed a man acting in a suspicious manner. Officers made contact with the individual, identified as Keyair Gregory, and allegedly discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in his possession.

Gregory was taken into custody without incident and later charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Police said the case remains under investigation.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
