West Chester Police Arrest Philadelphia Man for Weapons Violation

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced that 24-year-old Kenneth Ellison from Philadelphia has been arrested and charged with (1 Count) Firearms not to be Carried Without a License and is being held pending his preliminary hearing.

The criminal complaint alleges that on April 16, 2023, at approximately 12:30 pm, the West Chester Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of S. High St. As a result of the stop, the driver Kenneth Ellison was taken into custody for concealing a loaded firearm without a permit.

The West Chester Police Department is encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activity to their local police department or call 911 if an emergency situation arises. Residents should never confront a suspicious person or persons but instead, contact law enforcement immediately in order to ensure their own safety as well as that of their neighbors and community members.
