Police News

POTTSTOWN, PA — On November 25, 2023, North Coventry Township Police Department officers responded to a reported retail theft at Boscov’s Department Store. According to reports, two males were seen removing items for sale without offering payment.

The suspects, later identified as 21-year-old Noah Kutt from Pottstown and 33-year-old Alfredo Beltran from Phoenixville, were stopped by Loss Prevention Officers, who managed to recover the stolen items. The suspects allegedly refused to identify themselves initially and left the scene. However, after searching the area, police officers were able to locate and identify Kutt and Beltran as the defendants.

Both Kutt and Beltran were processed without incident and were released after being issued a citation for summary retail theft. Each of them was charged with one count of retail theft.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
