Traffic Stop Leads to Drug, Fraud Charges in East Lansdowne

EAST LANSDOWNE, PA — A traffic stop early Friday led to the arrest of a Chester man after officers reported discovering suspected marijuana and alleged vehicle registration violations.

East Lansdowne police reported that at approximately 1:10 a.m. on March 7, officers assigned to a traffic enforcement patrol observed a white Lincoln traveling eastbound in the 400 block of Baltimore Avenue.

According to police, the driver was observed interacting with a handheld device while operating the vehicle, prompting officers to conduct a traffic stop.

Authorities said the driver was identified as 25-year-old Amin Nasir Dandridge of Chester.

During the investigation, police reported that the vehicle was allegedly fraudulently registered. Officers also reported discovering numerous packets of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a search of the vehicle.

Police said Dandridge was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia, intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, and fraudulent use or removal of a registration plate.

Authorities reported that Dandridge will be formally arraigned before Magisterial District Court 32-2-51.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
