String of Alleged Incidents Keeps State Police Busy Across Western Chester County

EMBREEVILLE, PAPennsylvania State Police in Embreeville reported a wide range of alleged criminal and non-criminal incidents across multiple Chester County municipalities in recent days, spanning retail thefts, vehicle crashes, domestic disputes, trespassing cases, and investigations into theft and fraud, according to a compilation of individual incident reports released this week.

Troopers responded to a reported retail theft on December 18, 2025, involving a 64-year-old man from Coatesville at a Walmart in Parkesburg, where merchandise, including boots, candy, and sunglasses valued at less than $100 was allegedly taken. A non-traffic citation was issued following the incident.

On December 22, 2025, in East Whiteland Township, state police investigated a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 202 near East of Conestoga Road. One driver was transported with unknown injuries, while another was not injured. Charges related to the incident were filed through District Court 15-4-01.

Troopers in West Bradford Township responded on December 24, 2025, to an alleged domestic incident on Appleville Road involving two older adults, both of whom were cited for harassment. The investigation remains ongoing.

In Honey Brook Township, police investigated a non-reportable crash on December 27, 2025, on Erica Circle. Authorities allege the operator of one vehicle was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. An arrest was made, and the investigation continues.

Several theft investigations were also reported. On December 26, 2025, in Warwick Township, police responded to Saint Peters Road for a report of stolen tools and equipment valued at several hundred dollars. In another Warwick Township incident reported on December 27, 2025, on Harmonyville Road, troopers investigated the alleged theft of a TracFone account belonging to an elderly victim. Both cases remain under investigation.

A stolen vehicle was reported on December 27, 2025, on West Strasburg Road in West Bradford Township, involving a 2015 blue Nissan Frontier. No arrests have been announced.

State police in Caln Township arrested a 56-year-old man from Downingtown following a traffic stop on December 26, 2025, on U.S. Route 30 East, alleging the driver was under the influence. In a separate Caln Township crash on December 16, 2025, on U.S. Route 30, troopers investigated a hit-and-run involving a Toyota Tacoma.

In South Coventry Township, troopers responded to multiple incidents, including an alleged domestic disturbance on December 25, 2025, on Pottstown Pike that resulted in an arrest and a harassment citation, a juvenile marijuana possession incident reported December 26, 2025, that was closed without further action, and an alleged assault at a nursing home on December 24, 2025, where the victim requested no further investigation.

In Modena Borough, on December 27, 2025, two juveniles from Coatesville were taken into custody and charged with trespassing after being found on private property on Meredith Court. The investigation remains ongoing.

Troopers also responded to a death investigation on December 6, 2025, on Cadmus Road in South Coventry Township. Authorities determined the death of a 74-year-old woman was natural, and no criminal activity was suspected.

In Sadsbury Township, police investigated a physical domestic incident on December 24, 2025, on Washington Lane, which resulted in an arrest. Additionally, an accidental alarm activation occurred on December 17, 2025, at a local business, leading to a non-traffic citation. Another report detailed a single-vehicle crash on December 27, 2025, on Hill Camp Road in Warwick Township involving teenage occupants, with no serious injuries reported.
