Police Seek Suspect After Violent Robbery in Center City Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged assault and robbery that occurred early Monday morning in Center City.

According to police, the incident took place on October 6, 2025, at approximately 1:56 a.m. on the 1300 block of Chancellor Street. Investigators say the complainant was attacked by a group of individuals, including one male suspect who allegedly struck him, causing facial injuries, before taking his cell phone.

The suspect is described as a Black male with tattoos on his arms, wearing all dark clothing. A still image of the individual has been released to assist in the investigation.

All suspects and arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
