Police Hunt Armed Suspect in Early-Morning Robbery at Castor Avenue Sunoco

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of robbing a Sunoco gas station at gunpoint during the early morning hours last weekend.

According to investigators, the incident occurred around 4:50 a.m. on November 8, 2025, at the Sunoco located at 7255 Castor Avenue. Police said an unknown Black male entered the store and was asked by an employee to leave. At that point, the suspect allegedly produced a black handgun and threatened to shoot the employee if he did not comply.

The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash and several packs of cigarettes before fleeing south on Castor Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Black male, medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing all black clothing and armed with a black handgun.

Detectives with the Northeast Detective Division are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery to contact 215-686-3153 or 215-686-3154.

Police emphasize that all individuals suspected or accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
