Police Chase Ends with Arrest of Wanted Robbery Suspect

Arrest

COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville Police Department has announced the arrest of Terrence Scott of Coatesville on an outstanding arrest warrant.

The criminal complaint alleges that on September 4, 2023, at 12:55 a.m., Coatesville Police were conducting a traffic stop on the 500 block of Olive Street. After clearing the stop, a male wearing all black walked passed the marked patrol vehicle, immediately hid his face, and turned away. The police officer exited the patrol vehicle and asked the male for his name. The male then fled on foot onto Division Alley and into a backyard, jumping a fence. The male continued through the yard, eventually jumping another fence. The officer was ultimately about to catch up with the individual, tackling him to the ground on the unit block of Woodland.

The male, eventually identified as Terrence Scott, was found to have an active arrest warrant for robbery. He was taken to the Coatesville Police Department for processing and then to Chester County Prison.

In addition to the outstanding warrant, Scott has been charged with flight to avoid apprehension and related offenses.

Cpl. Jared T. Davis is the investigating officer.
