HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Thursday that a Wayne County man has been sentenced to 20 to 40 years in state prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a child.

Brian Fisherman, 38, pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child in Wayne County Court, where the presiding judge classified him as a sexually violent predator.

In a statement, Attorney General Sunday said the sentence ensures Fisherman “will spend many years in prison where he will have no opportunities to harm another child,” crediting the survivor’s courage and the dedication of investigators for bringing the case to a close.

According to the Office of Attorney General, Fisherman entered the child’s bedroom on at least two occasions and sexually assaulted the victim when they were between the ages of three and six.
