Oxford Man Faces Serious Allegations Following A Domestic Disturbance Incident

OXFORD, PA — In a recent incident that occurred on the 500 block of Old Street in Oxford, PA, a man has been arrested on several charges following allegations of a domestic disturbance involving a knife.

According to a press release from the Oxford Police Department, on December 28, 2023, officers responded to a call reporting a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they made contact with 52-year-old Oxford resident, Jose Santiago, outside the residence.

Officers interviewed the alleged victim and several witnesses at the scene. They claimed that Mr. Santiago attempted to stab the victim and made several verbal threats to harm her. Officers were guided to Santiago’s bedroom, where they reportedly found the knife alleged to have been used in the assault.

Subsequently, Mr. Santiago was taken into custody and transported to the Oxford Police for processing. He was later moved to Chester County Prison, where he was arraigned and held on a $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 9, 2024, at the Oxford District Court.

Mr. Santiago faces significant charges, including aggravated assault, attempts to cause bodily injury with a deadly weapon, possession of an instrument of crime, and three counts each of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and disorderly conduct.
