OXFORD, PA — A local man has been taken into custody by law enforcement following a burglary that took place earlier this month. The Oxford Police Department has identified the suspect as 40-year-old Daniel Cosenzo.

According to the police report, officers were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress in the 200 block of Beaumont Drive around 3:41 pm on February 2, 2024. By the time officers arrived, the individuals involved had already fled the scene in a gold Chevrolet Malibu. However, a neighbor’s surveillance camera captured the entire incident.

Later that day, at approximately 5:44 pm, officers noticed the same vehicle returning to Beaumont Drive. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, identified as Cosenzo, was questioned about the burglary. At the time, the officers had not yet reviewed the surveillance footage, so further investigation was necessary. Cosenzo was subsequently released from the scene.

After examining the surveillance video and positively identifying Cosenzo, a felony warrant was issued by the Oxford District Court. On February 15, 2024, at 8:18 pm, officers conducted another traffic stop on Cosenzo’s vehicle. He was arrested on the strength of the criminal warrant.

Cosenzo was transported to the Oxford Police for processing before being transferred to Constables for transport to Chester County Prison. He was arraigned and released on $25,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 26, 2024, at the Oxford District Court.

Cosenzo faces multiple charges, including burglary, criminal trespass, conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property, and conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking.

As this case unfolds, it’s crucial to remember that these are allegations. All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. As more details emerge, this information may be subject to change. We will continue to provide updates on this case as they become available.
