Oxford Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

OXFORD, PA — In a disturbing incident that occurred in the early hours of November 16, 2023, Oxford resident Drew Henderson, 49, was arrested following an alleged domestic dispute involving a weapon. The Oxford Police were called to the scene at 12:33 am on the 100 block of North Fifth Street, Oxford.

Allegations within the criminal complaint allege that upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who reported that Henderson had chased him with a machete during a verbal altercation. Witnesses at the scene corroborated the victim’s account, leading to Henderson’s arrest.

Following further investigation and witness statements, Henderson was taken into custody and transported to the Oxford Police Station for processing. He is currently being held at the Chester County Prison.

Henderson is facing multiple charges stemming from the incident. These include aggravated assault with attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with a deadly weapon, simple assault, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, and two counts of possessing instruments of crime.

The case, filed under police report OP-23-06727, is expected to proceed to court where Henderson will answer the charges.
