Norristown Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop in East Goshen Township

WEST CHESTER, PA — In a routine patrol that turned into a notable arrest, an officer from the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department apprehended a Norristown man on multiple charges. The incident occurred on January 8, 2024, at approximately 8:47 a.m., in the area of the 1300 block of West Chester Pike, East Goshen Township.

The officer had observed an unmarked commercial vehicle and decided to conduct a traffic stop. Upon further inspection, the driver, identified as Wilder Escobar, a 27-year-old male from Norristown, Pennsylvania, was arrested.

Escobar faces a series of allegations including one count of receiving stolen property, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, one count of requirement for a commercial driver’s license, one count of driving an unregistered vehicle, and one count of operating with a hazardous brake system.
