Manhunt Underway: $10,000 Reward for Capture of Prison Escapee

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police and the Chester County Detectives are searching for 34-year-old Danelo Souza Cavalcante who escaped the Chester County Prison around 8:30 am on August 31, 2023. Cavalcant was last seen wearing green pants or gray shorts and a white tee shirt.

Cavalcante is convicted of first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of his 33-year-old former girlfriend in Schuylkill Township and has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He is also wanted on homicide charges in his home country of Brazil.
