PARKESBURG, PA — A man was arrested on an active criminal warrant related to an alleged incident of armed robbery. The suspect, identified as 41-year-old David Michael Cox of West Chester, is accused of assaulting and robbing a victim before making off with the victim’s vehicle.

The alleged crime took place on December 23, 2023, in the 100 block of Main Street in Parkesburg. According to reports, Cox is said to have struck the victim in the face with a handgun before taking the victim’s vehicle.

Following his arrest on December 26, Cox was transported to central booking and arraigned by District Judge Matthew Seavey. His bail has been set at $75,000 cash, and he is currently being held at the Chester County Prison pending a preliminary hearing at the Parkesburg District Court.

As the investigation continues and as additional details emerge, it’s important to remember that an arrest, a criminal complaint, or information related to the case is not a declaration of guilt. Cox, like any suspect, arrestee, or defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
