WEST CHESTER, PA — Authorities recently arrested 60-year-old Allen Gould of Malvern in connection with the alleged murder of his wife, Anna Maciejewska, whose disappearance in 2017 gripped the community.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police announced the charges, which include First-Degree Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and related offenses. Gould is being held without bail at the Chester County Prison.
Law enforcement stated that Maciejewska, a devoted mother and cherished family member, was last seen on March 28, 2017, according to their investigation. Although her husband reported her missing on April 11 of that year, evidence such as cell phone and financial records suggested inconsistencies in his account. Among the findings, investigators highlighted peculiarities surrounding a text sent to Maciejewska’s father in Poland on March 30, which contained grammatical errors uncharacteristic of her fluency in Polish.
Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe acknowledged the tireless efforts of the investigative team, saying, “Thanks to the persistence and thorough investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, we are able to start the process of getting justice for Anna and her family.”
Investigation efforts continue under the Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville Barracks, with Chief Deputy District Attorney Michelle Frei and Deputy District Attorney Jessica Yurick assigned to prosecute the case.
Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at (610) 486-6280.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
