BEAR, DE — Delaware State Police are actively investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday morning on Red Lion Road in Bear, leaving one man injured. Authorities are appealing to the public for information as they work to identify a suspect.
The incident occurred on April 19, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Troopers responded to a residence following reports of gunfire in the area. Preliminary findings indicate an unidentified individual fired several shots before fleeing the scene. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown vehicle exiting the area southbound on Red Lion Road.
Shortly after the shooting, a 34-year-old man was transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle. Officials confirmed he had sustained a gunshot wound. His condition has not been disclosed, though no additional injuries were reported during the incident.
At this time, details about the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle remain unknown. Authorities have yet to obtain surveillance footage or images related to the case.
