COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville Police Department announced the arrest of a 32-year-old man on weapons charges.

Daeron Howard Anderson has been charged with Possession of a Firearm Prohibited, Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and related offenses

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 1, 2023, Coatesville officers were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Lincoln Highway for a disturbance between neighbors. While officers were en route, additional information was provided indicating that one of the males now had a handgun. Officers quickly arrived and discovered that the suspect alleged to have the gun was now inside his apartment.

Following an investigation into the incident, officers and detectives learned that Daeron Anderson returned to his apartment during the verbal altercation and retrieved a handgun. He came back outside, pulled the weapon from his waistband, and pointed it at the victim while threatening to shoot him. Several bystanders, including young children, were also outside in the vicinity while this incident was unfolding. Coatesville Police recovered the loaded firearm and an extended magazine. Anderson was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Anderson was arraigned by the Honorable Judge John R. Bailey and was ultimately remanded to Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
