Fatal Shooting Leaves 29-Year-Old Dead in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead Monday evening in the 100 block of South Harrison Street.

Wilmington police reported officers responded to the area at approximately 6:31 p.m. Monday, March 9 after receiving reports of a shooting.

According to investigators, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. Police said the victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional details will be released when they become available.
