Chester County Woman Arrested for Aggravated Assault with Baseball Bat

WEST CHESTER, PA — A 20-year-old woman, Shakira Simone Boyer, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault following a reported disturbance in East Goshen Township, according to the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department.

The incident took place on October 29, 2023, around 9:19 PM at the 200 block of Baldwin Drive. The police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a disturbance involving injuries.

Upon arrival, officers were able to speak with a female resident who claimed she had been assaulted with a baseball bat. The victim displayed physical injuries that were consistent with such an assault, further corroborating her account of the incident.

Following the investigation, Boyer was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of simple assault, and one count of possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

Boyer was taken into custody without incident. The victim’s condition is not known at this time.
