Bronx Man Behind Bars: Suspect Apprehended in 2022 Westtown Post Office Burglary

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police have reported the apprehension of Jordy (JO) De La Cruz Fernandez, a 20-year-old individual from Bronx, NY (previously from Reading, PA), on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Fernandez is a suspect in a post office burglary.

Fernandez has been sought under an outstanding warrant for charges related to Burglary, Forgery, Access Device Fraud, and other related offenses.

On December 5, 2022, the Westtown Post Office in Thornbury Township, Chester County became the scene of a reported crime. The criminal complaint alleges that staff members arrived at work to find the office in disarray, with scattered mail, missing packages from post office boxes, and desks that had been rummaged through.

Following a thorough investigation by the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, Mr. Fernandez was identified as a suspect in the case. On April 4th, 2023, a criminal complaint was filed against Mr. Fernandez, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
