Arrest Made: Oxford Man Charged in Alleged Assault Case

OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Borough Police Department announced the arrest of 22-year-old Isaiah Rothwell of Oxford on assault charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 6, 2023,  officers were called to the Oxford Borough Police Department to meet with the female victim who reported an alleged assault that occurred at 5:18 AM along the 400 block of Market Street. When police arrived to speak to the alleged perpetrator, identified as 22-year-old Isaiah Rothwell, he had already fled. However, Rothwell subsequently turned himself into the police on August 8, 2023.

Rothwell has been charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment. He was released on unsecured bail and is expected to appear on August 29, 2023, at the Oxford District Court for a preliminary hearing.
