Wilmington Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured on Vandever Avenue

WILMINGTON, DE — A 23-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of Vandever Avenue, according to Wilmington Police.

Police reported officers responded to the area at approximately 1:20 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim suffering from injuries, investigators said.

According to police, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Investigators said the shooting remains under investigation and no additional details had been released.
