WERNERSVILLE, PA — South Heidelberg Township Police are asking for the public’s help after equipment used for a township summer playground program was stolen from a local park.

According to police, two large tarps were reported stolen from Hummel/South Mountain Park sometime during the overnight hours between June 24 and June 25.

Investigators said the tarps are used by the township as part of its summer playground program. Authorities did not provide an estimated value for the stolen items.

The theft remains under investigation, and police are seeking information that could help locate the missing equipment or identify those responsible.
