Warrant Issued After Theft Suspect Identified Months Later

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A 36-year-old man is accused of shoplifting following a theft investigation that began in late December, according to Lower Moreland Township Police.

Police reported that on December 29, 2025, officers responded to a theft in progress on the 100 block of Welsh Road. According to investigators, the suspect was later identified as Stephen Stout.

Authorities said an arrest warrant was subsequently issued, and Stout was taken into custody on March 25, 2026.

Police reported that Stout has been charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
