PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are searching for a man wanted in connection with two fatal shootings and a separate non-fatal shooting that occurred over the past several weeks.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified the suspect as Jahylin Melchur, 21, and is asking the public for help locating him.
According to investigators, Melchur is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Martin Higgins, which occurred at about 10:04 p.m. on June 20 in the 900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.
Police also allege that Melchur was involved in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Sharef Holman, who was shot at about 10:55 p.m. on June 26 in the 1200 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.
In addition, investigators said Melchur is wanted in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man that occurred at about 9:50 p.m. on May 29 in the 1000 block of Lycoming Street.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
