PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of assaulting a woman inside a University City store last month.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on April 22 inside a business along the 4000 block of Market Street.
Investigators said a man allegedly confronted a woman inside the store, leading to an argument that escalated into violence.
Police alleged the suspect spit on the woman before punching her multiple times in the face and fleeing in an unknown direction.
Authorities said the female victim suffered several injuries during the assault.
