NEW CASTLE, DE — Delaware State Police are seeking a Wilmington man wanted on a felony robbery charge after investigators identified him as the suspect in an alleged attack on a person waiting at a New Castle bus stop.
Troopers responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. Sept. 15 to the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue for a reported robbery, according to state police.
Investigators said the victim was waiting at a bus stop when a man approached and demanded the victim’s personal property. Police allege the man then struck the victim and forcibly took the property before fleeing.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit subsequently identified Jarvis Sturgis of Wilmington as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
State police said Sturgis is wanted on a felony charge of second-degree robbery.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
