Three Men Arrested After Wilmington Drug Raid Uncovers Guns

WILMINGTON, DE — Three Wilmington men are facing drug and weapons charges after police said a search warrant at a residence on East 10th Street led to the seizure of narcotics, firearms and a ballistic vest.

According to Wilmington Police, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division had been investigating alleged illegal drug sales in the 700 block of East 10th Street.

At about 10:38 a.m. on June 25, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the block, police said.

As officers approached the home, 32-year-old Jamil Hill allegedly fled on foot. Police said Hill was apprehended a short time later without further incident. Investigators alleged that officers recovered 55.92 grams of crack cocaine and 3 grams of marijuana.

Officers also made contact with 36-year-old Troy Dale, who was taken into custody without incident. According to police, officers recovered 1.42 grams of crack cocaine from Dale.

Police said officers then made contact with 26-year-old Amir Booker and took him into custody without incident before completing the search warrant.

According to investigators, officers recovered two loaded 9mm handguns, a ballistic vest, approximately 63.76 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 37.74 grams of marijuana, ammunition and drug paraphernalia from the residence. Police also determined that one of the handguns had been reported stolen in Philadelphia.

Hill was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity. Court records show he was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.

Dale was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and released after posting $5,000 secured bail.

Booker was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, receiving a stolen firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records show Booker was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $188,200 cash-only bail.
