WYOMISSING, PA — Police responded to a range of incidents throughout Wyomissing on April 2, 2026, including a reported retail theft, multiple alarm activations, and several service calls, according to the Wyomissing Police Department.
According to police, officers were first dispatched at approximately 9:25 a.m. to Warwick Drive for a burglar alarm. Police reported that all doors and windows were secure, and a person on site advised the alarm was activated accidentally.
At about 12:25 p.m., officers responded to Albright Avenue for another burglar alarm. Police stated that an open door was found upon arrival, but the homeowner returned while officers were clearing the residence.
Police reported that at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to Museum Road for a harassment-related complaint. According to authorities, the complainant reported being confronted at work by a rideshare driver regarding money allegedly owed.
Officers conducted a borough-wide aggressive driving enforcement detail beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 p.m., according to police.
At approximately 4:57 p.m., officers responded to Penn Avenue for a 911 hang-up call. Police reported that no one was located at the scene.
Police stated that at approximately 5:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to Old Mill Road for an animal-related complaint, but the animal had left the area before police arrived.
At about 5:29 p.m., officers responded to Berkshire Court for a business alarm activation. Police reported that an audible alarm was heard, though employees were unsure of the cause.
According to police, at approximately 6:39 p.m., officers assisted an out-of-state agency on State Hill Road by verifying the welfare of a child. Police reported the child appeared to be in good condition.
At approximately 8:41 p.m., officers responded to State Hill Road for a reported retail theft. Police stated the theft was valued at approximately $520, and charges are pending.
Police reported that at about 8:42 p.m., officers responded to Wyomissing Boulevard for a 911 hang-up call. The homeowner advised no call was made and no issues were found in the area.
At approximately 9:39 p.m., officers responded to Woodland Road near State Hill Road for a report of a reckless driver. Police reported no further action was taken.
At about 10:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to Park Road North for a report of loud yelling. Police stated the situation appeared normal upon arrival and no services were needed.
Police reported that at approximately 11:07 p.m., officers responded to Route 222 near State Hill Road for a two-vehicle crash. According to authorities, no injuries were reported and the vehicles did not require towing.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
