Teen Girl Wounded in Shooting on West 6th Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage girl injured Tuesday evening in Wilmington.

Wilmington police reported officers responded at approximately 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 to the 800 block of West 6th Street following reports of a shooting.

According to investigators, officers located a 15-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene.

Police said the victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Authorities reported the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
