Teen Critically Wounded in Wilmington Shooting Investigation

WILMINGTON, DE — A 17-year-old male is in critical condition after a shooting Sunday evening in Wilmington, according to police.

Wilmington police reported officers began investigating the incident at approximately 8:04 p.m. July 12 in the area of West 4th and North DuPont streets.

According to investigators, the 17-year-old gunshot victim later arrived at a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police have not released information about a suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
