Suspect Sprays Workers With Mace in Northeast Philly Theft

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are searching for a suspect accused of using mace on two employees during a retail theft at a Northeast Philadelphia business.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at a store on the 4600 block of Frankford Avenue.

Police reported that a female suspect allegedly entered the business and began concealing merchandise.

According to investigators, when the suspect was confronted by employees, she allegedly produced mace and sprayed two workers before fleeing the store with multiple items.

Authorities said the suspect remains unidentified, and a video of the incident has been released as part of the investigation.
