Sex Offender Faces New Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Lower Moreland Township police reported arresting a 25-year-old registered sex offender on Aug. 20 after investigators allegedly found child sexual abuse material while he was serving probation for a previous conviction involving such material.

Police identified the defendant as Daniel Healey Jr.

According to police, Healey was on probation for a prior child sexual abuse material conviction when investigators allegedly discovered evidence leading them to obtain a warrant and take him into custody.

Healey faces 27 counts involving child sexual abuse material, according to the charges listed by police. He is also charged with one count each of knowingly photographing, filming or depicting a child in a sexual act on a computer; unlawful contact or communication with a minor involving sexual abuse; and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as two counts of corruption of minors.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
