WILMINGTON, DE — A 42-year-old man is facing robbery and assault charges after Wilmington police linked him to an alleged robbery and located him three days later in a vehicle identified during the investigation.
Officers responded at approximately 2:30 p.m. Sept. 15 to the unit block of Gordon Street for a reported robbery, according to Wilmington police.
During the investigation, officers identified a vehicle they believed was connected to the incident, police said.
On Sept. 18, officers located the vehicle in the 2300 block of North West Street. Police said a man inside matched the description of the person suspected in the robbery.
Officers conducted a vehicle stop and made contact with Arrin Pauls, 42, according to police. Police reported taking Pauls into custody without incident.
Pauls was charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
Police said Pauls was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $8,000 secured bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
