POTTSTOWN, PA — A 33-year-old man was cited for retail theft after North Coventry Township police responded to a reported theft in progress at a Wawa on Thursday evening.
According to the North Coventry Township Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Wawa at 260 W. Schuylkill Road at approximately 7:34 p.m. Aug. 27 following a report of an alleged retail theft.
Police reported that responding officers apprehended Alexander Ressler, 33, at the store.
According to police, Ressler was processed and issued a citation for retail theft before being released.
Authorities provided no additional information about what Ressler allegedly attempted to take or the value of the merchandise.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
