PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are seeking a suspect accused of punching a pedestrian in the face and neck, knocking the victim to the ground before laughing and walking away in South Philadelphia.
Police said the alleged assault occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, as the victim was walking in the 1000 block of Reed Street.
According to investigators, the victim was crossing the intersection of 10th and Reed streets when an unidentified individual approached and allegedly punched the victim in the face and neck.
The force of the alleged attack knocked the victim to the ground, police said.
Investigators reported that the suspect laughed following the assault and continued walking north on 10th Street.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect or information about the victim’s injuries.
