POTTSTOWN, PA — North Coventry Township police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a failure-to-appear arrest warrant stemming from an alleged attempt to flee officers earlier this year.
According to the North Coventry Township Police Department, Rory Thomas McGuirk, 42, of Pottstown, is wanted on an arrest warrant issued April 2 after allegedly failing to appear in court.
Police said the underlying charges stem from an investigation into an incident on Jan. 4 at the CVS store on West Schuylkill Road. Investigators allege McGuirk fled from police and drove in a careless and reckless manner.
McGuirk is charged with one misdemeanor count of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device and five summary traffic offenses.
Police described McGuirk as a White male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 187 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information regarding McGuirk’s whereabouts is asked to contact the North Coventry Township Police Department at 610-323-8360 or email Officer Kirchenbauer at dkirch@norcopd.org. Police advise members of the public not to attempt to apprehend McGuirk and instead report any information directly to law enforcement.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
